I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I know we did. We spent most of the weekend visiting with friends and family. With a little bit of yard work thrown in...lol.
Today I got a couple of hours to play in my scraproom so I decided to play along with some challenges. Since it seems like it has been forever!

I really liked this sketch so I just had to use it. I added stickles to the penguins hat and skates plus around the edge of the "ice." I used metallic cs for the ice. I just used the lime green pp to put behind the card since I had to take a pic inside.

I made this little ornament from an extra cookie cutter I had. Last year I made a few and they turned out super cute! The cropadile works great for punching a hole in the cookie cutter!

Making Handmade Cards Peeks

I loved the look of this Christmas Pets ekit from Making Handmade Cards. When I got the invite to design with it I couldn't pass it up!

I love that you can print out everything you need to whip up a quick card or altered project!

I made a treat jar for kitty. He likes to eat the cardboard containers that they come in when you buy them...lol. Which actually makes him a bad kitty...lol.
I added ribbon, paint and stickles from my stash. I traced a precut label die for the front of the jar. I printed the sentiment on the computer.

I love this 3D puppy, he is just so cute! I wanted this one to be simple without alot of extra. Again I traced a precut label die for the label. I also added stickles to the bow and santa hat.

Well I always need extra gift enclosure cards and gift tags around the holidays so I whipped up a few with the scraps I had laying on my table. I printed the sentiments on a 1/4 of a sheet of paper and it made them the perfect size for gift tags. I just trimmed around the edges without getting super fussy about the cutting. I added a little stickles to each!

I hated that I didn't get to play along last week with ICS but life just got in the way! This week Dawn has another fabulous sketch this week for us to play with. Tuesday was Patrick's 6th birthday but we didn't have his party until Sat! It is hard to believe my baby is 6 years old! Where does the time go? He is big into TMNT right now so he wanted a ninja turtle cake. I was lucky enough to find one of the old Wilton pans from the 80's. I was not happy with the way it turned out but Patrick loved it and that is all that mattered. Right? I know what the problem was though. I used the whipped icing and it was too hot in the kitchen while I was icing so it got to soft.

And with all his little friends. The little girl right next to Patrick is his little "girlfriend" Lily. Yeah still the same one from last year! She is such a little doll!

Here is a quick pic of his Halloween costume this year too! He has all the ninja moves down...lol

It has been a long day today. We had to go get Patrick some new glasses, plus groceries and a trip to Michael's of course. I bought me some Prismacolor pencils today finally. Until now I have been using my regular old colored pencils. So when I got home I had to play some. I colored in several images but finally decided to use Bill again. I love this stamp. He is soo cute.

I used the sketch from 2Sketches4you. This one just screamed acrylic to me when I saw it. I flipped on its side. I just realized I left the strip off that was to go across the scallop pieces. Oops.
The pattern is on the inside. I mimicked this scallop piece on the inside so there will be an area to right on. The snowflake is sprayed with patina glimmer mist! This is one of my fav colors I think.
I kept it very simple and with no glitter. This is so hard for me..lol. But I am trying to get my stash up to send to CardsforHeros so there can't be any glitter.

As promised another project that I have done recently. This is krew kit #9 from kits2remember! It is full of these yummy Fruit Cake line (papers, diecuts, alphas) from Basic Grey, lots of ribbon, 2 large jingle bells, Bazzill flowers and bling brads and of course an 8x8 acrylic album. You should check out this kit it is full of goodness. Plus it comes with ATC size metal panels.
I wanted to make an album about our holiday traditions and I thought this was the perfect kit to do it with.

I did finally get a decent photo of the village and memory tree (my favorite decoration I believe). I just need to take another photo of the album now...lol

I made a couple of ornaments with the metal panels. I used scraps from the kit, glimmer mist, alcohol inks and those little tiny school photos.

This kit was posted on the krew blog in December but there are still some in the store!

I was very excited to get to design a project with Jessica's Home for the Holidays kit. I love this little house album by Clear Scraps. This little kit comes with all the goodies you need to complete this album for only $15. Plus with full instructions on how I created mine. So be sure to head over to the k2r store and check them out. This has been posted on the krew blog for awhile now but I am finally getting a chance to share here.

Here are a few projects that I did do over at Paper Popsicles Handmade Holiday Crop back in November. These were all fast and fun projects. And who doesn't need cards, gift card holders and few wreaths around.

And guess what....its ME!!! I am so excited, it is a wonderful group of ladies over there. And Melissa has some amazing prices on products. The challenge was to create 2 layouts and 2 cards, with a thansgiving or christmas theme, using at least 80% of Paper Popsicles products.
