Happy 4th of July!!!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday weekend. We had an amazing weekend!! We had planned to spend it out on the lake in the boat but changed our plans at the last minute. The lake is always so crazy at holidaysWe ended up having a cookout at my cousins house with the whole family. Her inlaws and SIL was in town so it worked out for the best that way. We grilled ribs with all the extras. The kiddo's spent the day playing in the sprinkler and the slip and slide. We didn't even take the boat out to watch the fireworks...which is an amazing site from the water. We still had a blast. Here is a shot of the 3 of us together. Patrick is so silly with all the posing.

And a few of my favorite shots of the fireworks. I love this shot of one of the sparkly snakey ones....lol.. I know I am so technical aren't I???

This one is just so creepy looking with the glowing smoke!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday and that you took a moment to remember and thank the ones who fight for our freedom!!!

My nephew Trevor came to visit for almost 2 weeks from MS. That is why I haven't been posting any lately. We were trying to spend time with him. Patrick is always so excited when he gets to come. He loves his Trevor so. It is always sad to see him leave.
Trevor is lucky when he gets to come we have enough teenagers that hang around our house that he does have some interaction other than with a 4 year old. So we spent the day Saturday at the lake with Evan, Dalton, Virginya and Vivian. We also met up with some friends and their teenagers.
We spent most of the day tubing. I think Trevor and Dalton stayed on one the entire day. We started out with just our boat but ended up spread out between 3.
Here are a few photos from the day.

Evan(on the left) and Trevor when we first started.

their first crash

Patrick even gave it a go. Of course we were barely moving with him. But he would only ride with Trevor not even me...boo hoo

Since Patrick is content with a movie right now I will post a few more just because I can...hehehe. I really need to start cropping my pictures better. Something else to start working on.

This one was easy and quick too. The middle picture has a "yikes" rubon on it. Patrick found a rotten pumpkin and just had to touch it.

I actually painted the title on. I can't believe I dared to try it on my layout. I took a class from Tracy Austin at Alabama Scrapfest back in Feb. And that was the technique she was teaching. Of course during the class I did my title on a transparancy and then just attached it. I didn't think I would dare do it directly on my pages.

I cute some of the ornaments and pulled them to the front. The large ornament is from another sheet of BG paper. I added stickles on the large ornament too.

This is my hubby Nick and one of his many hobbies, woodworking. I have been itching to get my hands on this Cogsmo paper and I lucked out and got it as my Spice kit at Scrapdango and as a mini kit from Paper Popsicles. The mini kit has these awesome robot stamps Thats Jazzy Stamp Dreams. I will have something with those loaded soon. So stay tuned!

I took this photo on our trip to Gatlinburg at Christmas. I love this photo it looks like the mountains go on forever. The actual photo is so much better. The colors are amazing.

This is one for the 8x8 book I am making for Patrick of our pets and past pets. This was for one of the NSD challenges over at Scrapdango.

Glimmer mist for the background, rubons and a journaling block.

Cupcake was a puppy my dh found outside his office and he brought him home until we could find her a home. We were going to keep her but she kept escaping from our fence. I think she was a bit intimidated by Harley.

Since it has been so long since I have posted any layouts. I will be loading all the things I have done in the past several months in the next week or so. Hopefully our life has returned to normal enough now that I will be able to post regularly. I hate us being sick and staying on the go so much.

A card I made for a friend of mine who had a baby girl! This one was fast and easy...I love the ones that come together that way!

A Mother's Day card that I made for one of the NSD challenge at Scrapdango.

I love this picture of Edie, a friend of ours little girl. The challenge was to make something shaped. It was one of the pre-NSD challenges over at Paper Popsicles. This layout was alot of fun to make. I used glimmer mist on the cardstock. Alcohol ink on the acrylic pieces. Paint and felt. A little bit of everything.

Another layout for a challenge at Paper Popsicles. Everything except for the bling is from Melissa's store. I love all the goodies she has over at Paper Popsicles.

This was another quick and easy layout. I did this during the NSD crop I attended. This was the first year Patrick wanted to dye the eggs and he had to do it all by himself!!

YITL # 17

I am truely lucky for my friends and family and all of the memories that we create together. I am lucky in love..I am married to the most wonderful man. And I cherish our time together. I am also blessed with good health. It could always be worst.

Finally my YITL cards 7-16

I have been following along with Suzanne's Year in the Life challenge. I have been doing good and keeping up with them. Well until the last 2 weeks anyway. But I have been so bad about not taking pics of them and getting them posted. Shame on me. Well Suzanne is asking me where they are...so here they are..lol

Happy and friend cards. Don't worry be happy is pretty much my moto. Everyone else does enough worrying around me that I don't need too. I am a go with the flow, fly by the seat of my pants kind of gal.
My friend card is about my friend Michelle and our relationship. I love her to death. She is always there for me no matter what. She knows all my faults and still loves me anyway.
Escape and garden cards. Pretty self explanatory. Scrapping is my escape from the world. And I have big dreams for my garden...one day
Spring is my favorite time of the year. And one of my favorite "time" quotes.
My feelings on pink...I want a little pink in my life now. This is what fun means to me. My family always enjoys our time together outside in the sun.
Bloom and Life cards. They pretty much say it all..lol

where does the time go????

Wow! It is hard to believe it has been a month since I blogged. There has been so much going on during that time. I have had hardly no time to scrap and I desperately need some me time to do just that.
We have been busy with Patrick's first year of t-ball since April 7th. We play twice a week. They are so cute while they are playing. Patrick is getting better he doesn't run around and cry as much as he was to begin with. He is not a happy camper while they are out in the field trying to catch the balls. He gets mad when someone beats him to it. Isn't he just the cutiest in his little uniform. He is getting so big. I wish I could freeze time and keep him this size for awhile.

I have also registered my baby for school. Boo Hoo!! He will start the 4K program in August..his birthday messes him up from starting kindergarten. Hey maybe there is an upside to him going...maybe my house will stay clean for a little while anyway..lol. It sounds good anyway.

I also had lasik done..let me tell ya it was WELL worth it!! I am still having a little adjusting to do. I only needed it in one eye and apparently according to the dr. I have been over compensating for that eye for so long that I am still trying too. So I am still a bit blurry.

We might eventually get our house to looking good again on the outside. Since it was so dry last year our grass out front died completly so we had to put down sod. And we are still working on the fence. It should be finished this weekend. Does the too do list ever get any shorter??? I don't think it does..lol

So that is what we have been up to around here. Now I need to make sometime and do some scrapping. I have a little project I plan to make for Patrick's tball team. I want to make a small album with each of their pictures in it and the coaches and give it to them at the end of the season. Which is May 15th here so I guess I need to get busy.
