Oh boy! School has turned into a nightmare in the mornings. I guess everyone realized school was a permenant thing because about day 4 at least half of the class was crying in the morning. Patrick was of course one of them. He loves school but he hates rest time. And being his teacher doesn't have a full time assistant she has to step out of the classroom during rest time. And Patrick can't stand this. He freaks out if he is left alone and he thinks she isn't coming back. Boy I hope this settles down soon. I did tell her if she lets him know she is going out of the room he should be okay. So I guess we will see if it work.

ATC holder class

This month at Paper Popsicles Stacey has come up with an awesome class to make these too cute ATC holders. I of course decided to make 2. One for atc's and one for coupons. I thought maybe I would remember to take them with me if I had something pretty to put them in. We will see.
I used a couple of the yummy kits at Paper Popsicles for mine. So if you want directions on how to make these check out this thread over there.

1st Day of School!

Today was Patrick's first day of K4. I can't believe my baby is old enough for school!!
He was such a big boy considering he has been saying he wasn't going to go to school. Patrick actually told me he would call his teacher on the phone and talk to her but he wasn't going to school. LOL..where do kids come up with this stuff.
It was a bit of a fight to get him up, which if you know Patrick you know why...lol. We took the pics in front of the house of course and at the school. He wanted me to spend the day at school with him. And of course my husband told him I could probably stay since it was only till 11. What??? I stayed until after 8 and told him I would leave in a few minutes. He seemed okay with it. I ended up putting supplies away for his teacher and about 9 he told me to leave! I couldn't believe it, my baby didn't need me there...boo hoo!!
He didn't cry at all. I was shocked that none of the kids in his class cried. Can you believe it out of 15 noone cried. Thats not to say that most of us moms weren't crying.
I stalked around outside of the class for awhile and now I am home trying to be patient until 11. But I don't know if that will happen.
It is strange all the emotions you can go through on such a big day for your little one. I am so excited for him to be onto this next step in life and I also want to hold him close and keep him home with me. I can't protect him from everything now that he is away from me. And I am not use to giving that up.
Here are a couple of pics from today. I am off now. I think I will go to the school now!

We are back!

We have made it home from our week vacation in MS. It was so great to get to see everyone again. It has been way longer than I wish it had been since we were over last. We saw alot of family members and there were still alot of people we didn't get to see. There just wasn't enough hours in the day. Maybe on the next trip.
I did get a photo of all of the cousins together. It has been way too long. Patrick does at least get to see Trevor, Chasity, Kimber, Malachi and James on a regular basis.

But his other cousins are a different story. We spent alot of time with his grandma, or his Honey as he calls her. I think that is just too cute.
This is a pic of him with his cousins. This is the first time they have all been together in at least 2 years. Everyone is just so spread out.
Chase, Brennon, Chance, Shea and Patrick

Well I am off to get unpacked. We have alot to get together before school starts.

A few more from Sketch Fest

Here are a few more from the Scrapbook Heaven Sketch Fest.
This was one of my favorite layouts from the weekend.
I made a congrats card that is exactly the same.
I have had these papers forever and I love that line from Fancy Pants.
Isn't Patrick so cute...he is grossed out by these pics now..lol

An overview layout of Patrick's first season of t-ball. I have been planning a layout of this but it just hadn't come together until now. It was a single page sketch I just expanded it.

Scrapboook Heaven Sketch Fest layouts

I know I promised these a few days ago. But life got in the way. Between the freezer and the news at the doctor...it just didn't happen. Sorry.
I didn't get all of the challenges done like I had planned but I will go back and do the ones I did do this week. But then again back to life..lol.
These are all some of the layouts I did. I will post some more later on.
Of course they are all of Patrick except for the one of my sister.

2 Sketches 4 You

When I saw this sketch by Laura I had so many ideas running through my head. I love that the scallops hang off the edges! But I decided to do a kid birthday card since we have so many of Patrick's little friends that have birthdays coming up.

I used some American Craft pp, Bazzill cs, a chalk it title from Puzzle Maps, Peebles Inc chalks and stickles around all the wording on the title and along the scallop.

A Sketch Crop at Scrapbook Heaven

I have been lurking around the Scrapbook Heaven website for while now. I finally found time to join and be able to participate. And it was just in time for their weekend Sketch Crop. It was so exciting, full of games and sketches, 21 sketches to be exact. Sketches from the DT, PageMaps, Pencillines, Sketchabilities and Becky Fleck. I love sketches for inspiration and am always on the look out for a few good ones. I have done about half of them. And I hope to be able to scrap some tomorrow and finish up a few more of them, they are due on Sunday the 20th. So we will see. I will try and load a few of the ones I have done in the morning. I am so tired and I have got to go get Patrick in the bed.
