I'M ALIVE!!!!!!

LOL! I know it has been like 2 months since I have blogged! Shame on me! I have been so busy with all the summer activities, work and school starting back up and then on top of that I tore up my craftroom with the intentions of reorganizing, well needless to say it has taken me 2 months with everything else going on...lol. Now I have to find my mojo again. Has anyone seen it? Got some spare to share?

Patrick is a 1st grader this year and isn't too happy about it either..lol. The problem you may ask? He seems to think he should be able to talk whenever he wants and thats just not happening..lol! Other than that it is going well.

So this week we at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle we are helping celebrate Operation Write Home's birthday celebration! We hope you will join in the fun. OWH turned 3 on Sept 12 but they are having a month long celebration! So head over to their site to find out all about it.

Photobucket

The challenge this week is Birthday Cards. We are asking for cards specifically because we would like for you to commit to sending them in to OWH! We have a great prize up for grabs from Craft Brulee also. There is also a DT CALL going on at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle, so head over there to find out all the deets!
Now at Scrap and Stamp the challenge is Numbers! We want you to use numbers in a fun way, in the papers, the title, anyway you can think of. Be sure to use at least one stamp on your page too! The Cutting Cafe is sponsoring us this week and someone will get 3 cut files!

I promise it will not be so long until I post again. It might now be crafty related because I am in serious need of finding my mojo!!! Have a great weekend!!

SSDS and SSS challenge plus new additions

I am a little late getting my projects up for the new challenges that went up on Saturday. I made the challenge posts and then forgot about my own blog..lol. But I am here now. I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We kept it close to home since Patrick is gone right now. We just lounged around watching movies and grilled ribs..yum! Actually our whole weekend has been lazy. It is so nice to have one of those at times..lol..and it has been well over due. So what did you do this weekend??

This week at Scrap and Stamp the challenge is to use the color RED with at least one stamp on your layout. Easy enough right?
This is one more photo from Christmas Eve of Patrick and Nick playing with the rocket. I cut some of the stars from the pp for the embellies and used a fun stamp set from Thats Jazzy Stamp Dream.
supplies: Bazzill cs, Inique Boutique pp and sticker, American Crafts thickers, KI Memories shaped paper, Thats Jazzy Stamp Dream stamp, Making Memories ink, markers

A little close up of the embellies.
At Stamp, Scrap and Doodle we want to see a shaped project. Anything at all works as long as it isn't a square or rectangle. Our sponsor this week sent us these fun The Angel Company products to use. I use the papers and only the sentiment stamp.

I used a Tattered Angels mask as a template for the butterfly.
supplies: The Angel Company pp and stamp, Recollections cs, sharpie, gems, chalk ink

The inside is simply stamped...
I hope you will join us this week with both challenges. Be sure to head over to the blogs and see what the design teams did with the challenges.
On another note. Our sweet Sophie had her kittys last weekend, they were a week old yesterday. She had 3 that look exactly like here. Here is one of mom and babies.
And just the sweet babies. They are so cute and already opening their eyes.
Well I am off. Got to figure something out for dinner. Have a great night!

It is time for another CAS-tastic Wed challenge! This week there is a fabulous sketch to be used and a yummy prize up for grabs from Sassy Studios.

This week at Sew Many Challenge anything goes! I am so glad I got to play along this week. It just hasn't felt right not participating with all my dts in the last several weeks!
Back to this weeks challenge. Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Stamps, the winner will recieve 3 digis of their choice.

I used Bear with Balloons , scraps of pattern paper and a clear sticker sentiment. I kept the embellishments very simple since this card is for a 2 year old. I didn't want there to be anything I would have to worry about him eating...lol

Be sure to head over to Sew Many Cards to grab up a few cute images!

A closeup of the dimension.

supplies: Reflections cs, pp scraps (american traditions I think), Pebbles Inc ribbon, clear sticker sentiment, Sew Many Cards image, color pencils, markers

this also works for...Lili of the Valley (sketch), ABC (xtra dimension), Pile it On (stickers)
Sometimes I really hate computers. I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted or visited everyone's blogs. We ended up with a virus, and the tech said it would be 3 or 4 days and I would get my computer back, well those 3 or 4 days turned into about 3 1/2 weeks. Of course during all of this my MIL computer went down as well and with all the hours I have been working I haven't had a chance to get to the library. But I am now back and will be catching up with everyone and back to posting with all my dt's. Thank you to Angie at SSDS and Lacey at SSS for keeping things together during my absence. You girls rock!!!!

I got a chance today to play in my craft room to get this weeks outside challenge done for Sew Many Cards. Hey I had to take a break between all the computer stuff...lol. I think I finally have everything back where it belongs.
I am not completely happy with this card I am thinking I should of added a blue mat to all of the papers/image. But I love this image, I used markers and colored pencils to color Morty Fishing. I wanted to keep it very distressed looking so I didn't go to great lengths with my coloring either.

supplies: Cherry Arte pp, Sew Many Cards digi image, Making Memories ink, Reflections cs, Robins Nest raindrops, buttons, markers, colored pencils

it works for these challenges...Charisma Cardz (boys), Papertake Weekly (sketch), One Stop crafts (boys), Rosie Dee (use blue with optional fish)

I will be back later tonight with my challenge card for Sew Many Challenges and in the next few days with more projects! It is great to be back and I will be by to visit you all shortly!

Now hurry over to Sew Many Challenges to see all the images and to play along!

I just wanted to share a little something that Patrick did. I was the VP of the PTO this year and we just had our last PTO meeting Monday. Well the principal decided she wanted to do something for all the officers. So she had each of our kiddos write us a note and she framed it with a photo of our child writing the note at the new tables we purchased with some of the funds this year. Our school was lucky enough to get a stimulus fund for new computers for the computer lab and enough for each classroom, but we needed new tables for them to go on. So the PTO purchased tables and chairs for all the classes, well almost. We got PreK-2nd purchased next year we will work on 3rd grades!

Here is his sweet note, framed and a box of chocolates, that they gave each of us. It was so sweet and very unexpected!

Now I am off to bed, because it has been along couple of days with preparing for our aunts wedding tomorrow. And I will be up early tomorrow and at it again! Have a great weekend!

I don't know about you but I am glad this week is over! You know what today is then? A new challenge at Scrap and Stamp and at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle!

This week at Scrap and Stamp we want to see a birthday layout with at least one stamp used! I did a 2 pager, it seems like it has been forever since I have. Patrick had a request that it not have cupcakes and balloons...lol. Since when did he become so opinionated about my pages at least? Our sponsor this week is MelJen's Designs. Be sure to go and check out the design teams work some of them worked with a couple of MelJen's images...so cute!

My stamping is inside the chipboard circle (clock) and a journaling block hidden behind the photo.
I don't know what is going with blogger tonight. I just can't get this photo to turn the correct way. At least you can get the idea of the stamping with this wonky pic..lol. I still have to add the journaling.
At Stamp, Scrap and Doodle we have a fabulous sketch for your by our very own Nicole and Polly crafts is our sponsor this week. I have a card but bad ol' me. I have already given it away without getting a pic of it. I can't believe I did that..lol. So I am going to see if she will take one for me. But for now head over to the Stamp, Scrap and Doodle blog to see what the design team did, some of them are working with Pollycraft images!

Sorry there are no links in the post but it is not cooperating with me tonight. I will try and fix them in the morning.

You know what today is? Time for another challenge at Sew Many Challenges! This week Bugaboo Stamps is sponsoring us and the winner will receive 7 digis of their choice from Bugaboo!

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

I worked some this morning and when I got home all I wanted to do was be lazy so instead I decided to spend a little time in my craft room. It has been a few days.

First I pulled out this adorable image from Sew Many Cards, that I had colored up a couple of weeks ago. It is called Fawn Fishing, it also comes with several sentiments. I used my studio g stamps for the sentiment though, and I didn't take great care in lining them up. Sometimes I like it that way..lol.
I wanted a cute card to send to one of my guy cousins that I haven't seen or talked to recently. We were always so close growing up and now we are far apart and rarely get to see each other. So I want him to know I was thinking of him.
supplies: Bazzill cs, My Minds Eye pp, Making Memories brads, Sew Many Cards digi image, Studio G stamps, Big Bite, sharpie, stazon ink, prisma color pencils, OMS

it works for these challenges...KL Stampin (animals), The Pink Elephant (sketch), Secret Saturday (metal), Creative Belli (hole punch and old stash), Rosie Dee (easel), Creative Cottage (one for the boys), Cards for Men (outdoors)

I also played with my other image from Busy Beauties Boutique today! I kept it real CAS, punched a hole out of the front and simply added a piece of red cardstock inside the card with the image inside the window. I colored the little image with my Sakura glitter and glaze pens. I love coloring with them..lol. I added a scrap of pp, ribbon, flowers and a couple of charms.
supplies: Recollections and Bazzill cs, GCD Studios pp, Prima flowers, Busy Beauties Boutique digi image, Studio G stamps, Cosmo Cricket ribbon, stazon ink, charms, Martha Stewart border punch, CM circle cutter, Sakura pens

You still have time to play along at CAS-tastic Wed (one layer cards), Scrap and Stamp Saturday (ribbon on your layout), Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday (masculine), and Sew Many Challenges (easel)!!

CAS-tastic Wedensday

It is time for another challenge at CAS-tastic Wed. Yeah!! I always love clean and simple cards! This week is to make a one layer card! I hadn't really thought about it that much before but I tend to always layer even on my CAS cards!

I decided to make a set of 4x4 cards. One of the houses next to us has just sold so I will be adding these to a little goodie basket to give to the new owners when they move in.

I plan to just tie a pretty bow around the cards, add some cookies, and maybe a plant or something to the basket.

I used the same stamp set on all of the cards. 3 have sentiments, 3 don't. I figured this way they could be used for anything. I embossed everything with black and added a black gem on the eyes, a little faux stitiching and thats it!

supplies: unknown cs, Studio G rubber stamp, Stampendous embossing powder, Q&Co gems, sharpie
We have a fabulous sponsor, Busy Beauties, this week. Be sure to check out the Busy Beauties site! They have some adorable images! The design team got some to use. Since I had my cards already done, I have also made a card with the Busy Beauties image too!

I added a little stickles to the bubbles. On the inside I added the same duck just alot smaller and another rubon from the same set that I used on the front.
supplies: Recollections cs, Paperbilities rubons, Busy Beauties Boutique digi image, ribbon, prisma pencils, stickles
it also works for KL Stampin (animals), Cute Card Thur (someone special), Bee Crafty (something new), Crafty Cardmakers (inside out), The Crazy Challenge (something new)

Come on over and play along with us at CAS-tastic!!!

Saturday, May 15, 2010

This will be a quick post because I have to head out soon. It is time for a new challenge at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle today. We have Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs sposnoring us again. I just love her images, so cute! The challenge is to do a masculine card. This little surfer dude is one of hers "surfer tommy." I colored the surfboard twice and poped one up and added glossy accents to make the board shiny. Afterall I have never seen one that wasn't...lol. I lightly colored the sky and sand but I am noticing that it all looks washed out in the photo. I guess thats what happens when you take it inside at night. I will try to get a better one when I get home today. The inside simply says Parte' since I used the double sided pp it has a beautiful light blue pattern to it. I will be using this for a friends preteen sons bday that is coming up.

It also works for Dare U 2 DigiStamp (anything goes), Shelly's Images (anything goes), Whoopsi Daisy (as you like it), One Stop Craft (summer breeze), Our Creative Corner (masculine bday), Allsorts (birthday), Cute Card Thur (someone special), ABC (u is for unused stash),

supplies: Crate Paper pp and diecuts, Fresh Brewed Designs digi image, prisma pencils, OMS, Colorbox ink, glossy accents, brads

Of course this means it is time for a new one at Scrap and Stamp too! We want to see ribbon on your layout with at least one stamp this week. Easy enough right? Our sponsor is the wondeful Alota Rubber Stamps. This is our sweet Smokey, some of the last pictures I got of him. He loved to sleep in the dryer. If you ever messed up and left the door open, even just to turn around and grab something, he would be in it. Empty or full, hot or cold, wet or dry he didn't care...lol. It drove me crazy at the time but I kinda miss it now that he is gone.

it works here too...Praire Fairy (flowers)

supplies: Bazzill cs, Kaiser Kraft pp, American Craft thickers, Offray ribbon, Basic Grey buttons, Grungeboard, Colorbox ink, twine, Shakura gel pen, sharpie, Heidi Grace stamp, Rita Marie tiny alpha stickers

I hope you will join us. Be sure to check the SSDS and SSS blog to see what all the DT did! There is a freebie on one of the SSDS designers blog.

But back to my card for today...hee hee! I printed Oliver out at about 5x7 on heavy cardstock. Colored him up with a couple of shades of blue. I kept the embellies simple with a few glittery chipboard stars. The sentiment is a clear sticker that I got in a rak so I don't know who it is by.

CAS-tastic Wedensday

It is time for another challenge at CAS-tastic! We are half way through the week already. Where is it going?
This week the challenge is to go round and round! Just use circles some how on a clean and simle card!

This card was super fast to make because it is just front and back from one sheet of paper, plus a few other circles that I already had cut from a previous project. I love the purple metallic of the solid side!

supplies: Recollections cs, GCD Stuidos pp, Making Memories brad, Thats Jazzy Stamp Dreams stamp, sharpie, stazon ink, CM circle cutter

Come on over to CAS-tastic and play along with us. What are you waiting for???? LOL!

it also works for Papertake Weekly (shiny, sparkly and special)

Monday, May 10, 2010

I got a little chance to play in my craft room today! Yeah! We have had company this weekend, which was so nice! We haven't had a chance to spend alot of time with them. But it was nice to craft for a bit while they were gone fishing.

I used the so sweet image Baby on the Moon from Sew Many Cards! I used some papers I have had forever! The 3 layers of at the bottom I curled up a little bit to give it a little depth.

supplies: Sew Many Cards digi image, DCWV pp, Recollections cs, Martha Stewart punch, ribbon, buttons, embrodery floss, prismacolor pencils, OMS

it works for these challenges....Cupcake Crafts (buttons), Everybody Art (pastels), KL Stampin (1ribbon, 2pp, 3embellies), The Pink Elephant (yellow, pp, buttons), 2 Sketches 4 You (sketch), Pile it On (cute & cuddly), Secret Crafter Saturday (1image, 2pp, 3embellies), Bee Crafty (something new)

I haven't added the sentiment yet because I couldn't decide which one I wanted to use...lol. So I will stamp it in before I use it!

I also made a wedding card..I don't do many of those..lol. I used this yummy lace from Stamp and Create! It is so gorgeous! I used the same paper (front and back) for the butterflies. I doubled them up and lifted the wings on the top ones, with some pearl centers.

it works for these...One Stop Craft (wedding wishes), Sir Stampalot (butterflies & blossoms), Charisma Cardz (wedding), Our Creative Corner (sketch), Simon Says (wedding), Our Creative Corner (anniversary, mine is based on the 3rd with the pearls)

supplies: Recollections cs, GCD Studios pp, Martha Stewart punches, Prima flowers, Stamp and Create lace, Recollection and Martha Stewart pearls, My Sentiments Exactly stamp, Making Memories and Colorbok ink

I just realized I forgot to ink the edges of the paper on the inside...oops. I will have to go back and do that!

You still have time to play along with this weeks challenge at Sew Many Cards! Be sure to head over there to play along!

It is hard to believe that another week is gone. But I am sure glad that it is the weekend, it has been a long week!
We have a fabulous sketch for you at Scrap and Stamp this week, be sure to go over to see it! Here is my take on it. I have been trying to get these photos scrapped since Christmas but just haven't been feeling it until I saw this sketch!
Patrick got an air rocket for Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve evening out in the drizzling freezing rain to play with it! It was such fun though!

supplies: Bazzill cs, Inique Boutique pp, chipboard and felt, Making Memories espresso ink, Studio G alpha stamps, American Crafts thickers, Doodlebug alpha stickers, colorbox ink, sakura red glitter gel pen

Here are a couple of closeups...

I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day and get to spend it with your families! Be sure not to spend the whole day in the kitchen...lol!
Be sure to stop by the Scrap and Stamp blog to see the sketch and to find out what the prize is!
Be sure to go to Stamp, Scrap and Doodle to see all the beauiful projects and what you could win! The challenge this week is to do anything but a card. I was working on mine but my printer ran out of ink so I will be finishing it up this weekend after a trip to Walmart!
Happy Crafting!!

Sew Many Cards challenge 13

I am sorry that I have been so quite this week. I have been in training all day, every day this week. Then on top of that I have been having internet issues. ugh... That being said this will be a quick post in case it decides to boot me again...lol

It is time for a new challenge at Sew Many Cards! This week Stitchy Stamps is our sponsor. The winner will get 3 digis of their choice! So we hope you will play along with us!
This weeks challenge is to do anything Christmas! Easy enough and it will be here before we know it at this rate...lol. We will be having a Christmas Party for the kiddos and I wanted an invite that will be fun and easy to reproduce. The December Candy image from Sew Many Cards is perfect for this! I printed it out twice, once on red and once on green cardstock. Then I simply cut out the red one. I managed to cut it all in one piece so I didn't even have to remember where the pieces went! I cut the little patch out of the green cardstock before I adhered the red one.
For the inside I just used my CM circle cutter to cut a circle card, then attached to the backside of my candy. Once I decide on all of the deets for the party I will just print it out, cut and attach. Easy Peesy and easily reproducible!
supplies: Recollections cardstock
We hope you will get a chance to play along with us and get a head start on those Christmas cards, gifts and projects!!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Today is the first official challenge at CAS-tastic Wednesday! I am so excited to be a part of this fun team! I love layers and lots of embellies as much as the next person but sometimes you just want fast, clean and simple! Thats what we are about at CAS-tastic, clean and simple! We hope you will join us!

The challenge this week is birthdays! Our sponsor Wild Flower Patch, offered the design team images to use. I chose the birthday sentiments. I wanted my sentiment directly on my paper so instead of trying to get it lined up where I wanted it to be printed at, I turned it into a rubon. Easier for me I get really iritated with my print program..lol.

It is easy to turn a digi image into a rubon. Just make sure you use the mirror image setting if it has wording and print on the shinny side of a transparency. Once it is printed just rub. It takes a little more pressure but it works!

supplies: Recollections cs, Inique Boutique pp, Paper Salon ribbon, Wild Flower Patch digi stamp, button, embrodery floss

We hope you will play along with us this week. Be sure to stop by the CAS-tastic blog to see what my fellow team mates did!

SSDS and SSS challenge a little bit late!!!

This week I am a little bit late getting my projects up! I went to an all day crop yesterday and forgot to post before I left...oops! But it was worth it, I had a great time and it has been wayyyy to long since I have been able to go to a crop. But I can't share any of it...lol. I got 8 pages done (2doubles), a set of cards, gift item and 6 cards, but they are all for dt assignments during the next month...lol. I will be going back to work part time next with, another part of the census, so I wanted to get ahead!

Before I get to the pages I have to share. Nick took Patrick fishing while I was gone. They had a great time and they saw several gators. Which he loved!! Nick said the gator was about 15ft from the boat and that Patrick grabbed the net. When he asked him why, Patrick said "because I am going to catch him so I can get a better look!" Only a kid..lol. I don't know what he thought he would do with a 4 1/2 foot gator!

This week at Scrap and Stamp the challenge is to do a summer layout or use summer colors with stamping. I knew I wanted to do these pics of Patrick learning to swim last summer. He pretty much taught himself and was so proud!! As were we! The only thing...now that I am looking at the page the colors don't look really summery, but they do look fresh and clean.

supplies: Bazzill cs, Making Memories stickers and pp, Tim Holtz stamp, Robins Nest dew drops, Paper Salon ribbon, sharpie, colorbox ink

Now onto our Stamp, Scrap and Doodle challenge. We want to see an easel card! I also kept it simple. I left one kitty white and the other is a light grey. After coloring the grass I added a little bit of green with the gel pen for something extra.

supplies: Pebbles Inc pp, Prima flowers, Miss Elizabeth rubon, Recollections pearls, Digi Stamp Character image, Prizmacolor pencils, sakura gel pen, Martha Stuart punch

it also works for the following challenges...

Stamp Simply (3D flowers), Spoonful of Sugar (3D), Creative Card Crew (April showers equals may flowers), Daring Cardmakers (easel), Dutch Dare (easel and repeated the pearls), Secret Crafters Sat (friendship)

I hope you will join us at both Scrap and Stamp & at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle. Be sure to stop by and see what the prizes are this week and what the design teams came up with!

Have a great night!
