more crop projects

Here are the rest of the projects from last weekend. How cute are these cupid coins? This was Tricia's challenge over at Paper Popsicles. I made 6 of the coins to begin with but I ended up doing 4 more.

How cute is this little mailbox? It was perfect for my little man's Valentines goodies. And it was made out of a cereal box, and those yummy Cosmo Cricket papers again.
This was Stacey's project. She always comes up with the cutest out of the box projects. Be sure to head over to Paper Popsicles. She posts a new project every month, sometimes 2.

Over at Making Memories for You one of the challenges was to make a valentine's or thank you card. I used some scraps from another project and the wired "thanks" is by Miss Elizabeth.

How cute is this adorable heart pocket by Lynda? It was fast and simple. I used my cricut and cut two 9 inch hearts. Added the foam thickers and flowers. This was for my niece to put her Valentine's in.

And last but not least was a Love Layered page for Making Memories for You. Again, I used the Cosmo Cricket papers. Can you tell I love them? lol.
Thats all I did last weekend. But I have to say it felt so good to finally scrap some pages again. I just haven't done alot since my hand finally quit hurting. I guess I just really lost all my mojo since it had been so long since I had really done alot of scrapping. I have done a few mini albums and projects but not alot other than those. Stay tuned because there will be another k2r project posted in a few days.

Crop layouts

I participated in 2 crops this weekend, one at Paper Popsicles, they had their Love is in the Air 3 day crop, and a one day Valentine crop at Making Memories for You. I had so much fun and it was so great to finally get to scrap some layouts again. It has been wayyyyyy to long since I have felt like scrapping. I got 5 layouts, 1 card and 3 altered projects done! Woo Hoo!
Alot of the layouts I used for both sites.
At Paper Popsicles the challenge was to L.O.V.E (L) layer, (O)orange, (V)variety of embellies and an (E)everyday photo. I also did this for the scraplift challenge at MMFY

I love this Paper Salon pp, I think I have one sheet left.
The challenge was to interview someone and then do a layout. Of course I interviewed Patrick. I love this photo of him showing off his school spirit...lol..it looks like he is throwing gang signs..heehee.
There was a music challenge on each site. This song is fitting for our little family.

I love how this layout turned out of Smokey. I have been wanting to scrap this picture of him for awhile but I couldn't bring myself to after we thought we had lost him. We are so happy he is home and he is healing nicely from surgery.
I think this is my favorite page from the weekend.
The challenge was to use the title "3 reasons I love you."
I will post the other projects soon.

Kits 2 Remember project

I made this quick little acrylic album last week for kits2remember. I love how it turned out and it was a great way to use up some of those everyday photos I have laying around.
I used five 4x4 acrylic panels and the Fancy Pants About A Boy line for this. Also, lots of grungeboard, chipboard, ribbon, rubons, acrylic accents and glimmer mist.

On the cover I cut a 4x4 section from the transparency, used a rubon title and grungeboard stars covered in stickles.

I left all of the grungeboard and chipboard elements raw and used glimmermist on the shaped elements only. This album came together so quickly. Jessica has acrylic and metal panels in a variety of sizes for great prices so if you need some be sure to check out the k2r store.

A long week!

I have got a nasty cold this week and let me tell you it hit me like a Mack truck. All of a sudden with no warning. Luckily it is almost gone now. Because I don't have time to be sick. I have projects to finish for Patrick's teacher, Valentine's to make for his class, a gift for his little "girlfriend", and finish his teacher gift. Since I used the one I had made for her as a get well gift for my SIL. Thats not to mention the ones for Nick and Patrick. Plus, I have been helping with the Book Fair at his school. Which I love I think that is the best part of having a kid in school...the book fair...it was always what I loved...lol and I still do! I am happy that Patrick shares my love of books. I hope that continues thru out his life!

On top of all of that the power supply or the mother board went out on our desk top. Thank goodness for a warranty and the laptop but I don't have my camera program on this one so there may not be any pictures loaded for a few days.

A happy note! I found out today that I will have two cards featured in the March Scrapbook News and Review! It has been an awesome week for me in this field!

Enough complaining I guess...thanks for listening to it! I am off to take some more meds so maybe I will be feeling up to dealing with Patrick's class in the morning and hopefully get to scrap some tomorrow night.
