A few more from Sketch Fest

Here are a few more from the Scrapbook Heaven Sketch Fest.
This was one of my favorite layouts from the weekend.
I made a congrats card that is exactly the same.
I have had these papers forever and I love that line from Fancy Pants.
Isn't Patrick so cute...he is grossed out by these pics now..lol

An overview layout of Patrick's first season of t-ball. I have been planning a layout of this but it just hadn't come together until now. It was a single page sketch I just expanded it.

Scrapboook Heaven Sketch Fest layouts

I know I promised these a few days ago. But life got in the way. Between the freezer and the news at the doctor...it just didn't happen. Sorry.
I didn't get all of the challenges done like I had planned but I will go back and do the ones I did do this week. But then again back to life..lol.
These are all some of the layouts I did. I will post some more later on.
Of course they are all of Patrick except for the one of my sister.

2 Sketches 4 You

When I saw this sketch by Laura I had so many ideas running through my head. I love that the scallops hang off the edges! But I decided to do a kid birthday card since we have so many of Patrick's little friends that have birthdays coming up.

I used some American Craft pp, Bazzill cs, a chalk it title from Puzzle Maps, Peebles Inc chalks and stickles around all the wording on the title and along the scallop.

A Sketch Crop at Scrapbook Heaven

I have been lurking around the Scrapbook Heaven website for while now. I finally found time to join and be able to participate. And it was just in time for their weekend Sketch Crop. It was so exciting, full of games and sketches, 21 sketches to be exact. Sketches from the DT, PageMaps, Pencillines, Sketchabilities and Becky Fleck. I love sketches for inspiration and am always on the look out for a few good ones. I have done about half of them. And I hope to be able to scrap some tomorrow and finish up a few more of them, they are due on Sunday the 20th. So we will see. I will try and load a few of the ones I have done in the morning. I am so tired and I have got to go get Patrick in the bed.

UGH!!!!

Okay I am completely grossed out! We lost everything in one of our freezers yesterday. Of course it was the meat freezer at that. Apparently when I got something out of it on Tuesday Patrick's little scooter fell over and the handle got in the way of the door. Nick didn't find it until Wed so everything was already gone. It has a buzzer for when the temp drops but it was off because we forgot to turn it back on the last time it went off. I am so iritated right now with myself and the whole situation. I have spent the day cleaning off the back porch and the freezer out from the whole mess.

Meet Stuart!!

This is our new kitty. About 6 weeks ago our male house cat managed to sneak out and brought home this kitty. He was scared, shy and so tiny. Apparently Smokey thinks he is a momma cat because this is not the first time he has done this. It is just the first time we have kept the kitten. I have been working on getting Stuart to trust me for weeks. Well Patrick has managed to catch him a couple of times and he finally brought him in the house. So he has been checked out and is in good health and is about 13 weeks old. Isn't he a cutie. Patrick calls him "store it". He picked the name from Stuart Little.

After a few days of hiding under the bed he is finally getting comfortable here.

The birds aren't sure what is going on because our other cat doesn't pay them any attention. But Stuart sure is attracted to them. So now we have to remember to close the cage at night.

Paper Popsicles Crop Creations

WOW! There was a wonderful crop at Paper Popsicles today! There were alot of new people that came out for the crop and it was so nice to chat with them and see all of their wonderful work. There was lots of fun being had. Here are a few of my creations. I got all of the challenges completed. I did several other cards as well. All of the papers used on these layouts are or have been availabe at the Paper Popsicles store. Melissa offers an amazing price for her goodies. If you haven't checked her store out you should.
This was a fun challenge by Jennifer. We had to use six people, 6 alphas in the title, 6 papers, and 6 embellies. This the only photo of my great grandfather (he is the baby) that is known to exist. I will add the journaling after I dig out the info so I can be sure to spell all the names right. I love these Dream Street Papers with the heritage photos.

Jackie's challenge was to scrap some water pics! I printed this photo off on a transparancy about 2 years ago with the plans to scrap it but just never did it. I added a piece of blue textured cardstock behind the photo. It gives it a really cool effect in person.
This was a recipe challenge by Tricia. Needed the colors red, white and blue. The number 7 and 4 embellies.
A card sketch from our very own Jackie G! How cute is that birdie! It is another stamp set from my friend Sheila over at Thats Jazzy Stamp Dreams. The set has 2 birds and an owl!!!

This was Ching's challenge to use fishscales on a card. Well since I was already cutting out cirlces from this 3bugs paper I made a card and a layout!!

Hi everyone! Boy it has been one busy weekend for us. It was nice and relaxing but yet I am still wore out..lol. It just doesn't make sense does it? I have been busy creating some this weekend as well. Here are a few I have done!

This was done for the sketch challenge over at Paper Popsicles. It is using a Pencillines sketch...I just love this sketch. And I am quite happy with how it turned out. I have had this photo since halloween of Patrick showing all of his sassy attitude. And I am so happy to finally have it scraped it is one of my fav photos of him!!
I bought this MME paper thinking I would use them for a retro layout of my mom. But I love the way they look here. there is also glimmer mist on the grundgeboard arrow. These are 2 of my favorite products right now I tend to use them on almost everything!!

I did this one of my nephew! Isn't he just the cutest with all that hair? And I swear he was born with that much!! I used a Pagemaps sketch for this one. Apparently I am into sketches this week. I seem to be using them alot! I did this one for the weekly challenge at Paper Popsicles, it was to use stars, stripes and another "s". I used stitches.
I used up the last of my Paper Salon kit from Scrapdango! I love these papers.
And check out the stitching! It is stamps, aren't they they coolest??? They are from my friend Sheila's store, Thats Jazzy Stamp Dreams. If you haven't checked out her site you should she has the cutest stamps ever!!!

I can't leave out my other nephew! So here he is. I love this photo he looks so sweet and innocent. Which he really isn't. Well at least not all the time..lol. Love this Kaiser Kraft papers! They are quickly becoming one of my favorite companies. This was another kit from Scrapdango.

I have had these photos since November and this Sonbourn kit from Scrapdango since around the same time. I knew these papers would be perfect for The Wiggles concert photos. I finally got around to scraping them last month!

Don't you just love the serious look Patrick is giving. He was trying to play it off that he doesn't like the Wiggles anymore! He has become a closet Wiggles fan since he hit 4 and his friends are now into super heros and such. But he still loves them and wants to go back this year. Silly kiddo I say do what you love!!!

Okay now I am off to bed I am beat!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday weekend. We had an amazing weekend!! We had planned to spend it out on the lake in the boat but changed our plans at the last minute. The lake is always so crazy at holidaysWe ended up having a cookout at my cousins house with the whole family. Her inlaws and SIL was in town so it worked out for the best that way. We grilled ribs with all the extras. The kiddo's spent the day playing in the sprinkler and the slip and slide. We didn't even take the boat out to watch the fireworks...which is an amazing site from the water. We still had a blast. Here is a shot of the 3 of us together. Patrick is so silly with all the posing.

And a few of my favorite shots of the fireworks. I love this shot of one of the sparkly snakey ones....lol.. I know I am so technical aren't I???

This one is just so creepy looking with the glowing smoke!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday and that you took a moment to remember and thank the ones who fight for our freedom!!!
