The Greeting Farm Relay day 3...

I got a few minutes to be crafty today between cleaning out closets and putting away all the Christmas stuff!
This cutie is the image from The Greeting Farm that is to be used for todays part of the relay. Isn't he the cutest! He makes me giggle everytime I see him.

I am also using it for Stamp Something (make us giggle), A Spoonful of Sugar (freestyle), Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential (let the sunshine in) and Digital Ink (pets or baby birthday with primary colors).

I covered a chipboard circle and stamped my sentiment.
supplies: Cosmo Cricket pp, The Greeting Farm image, Studio G stamps, grungeboard, chipboard, colored pencils, popdots, ribbon
Sadly they are ending the relay early because they had such an overwhelming response. The serve keeps crashing...oops...lol. But luckily for everyone who didn't get to play along they will be able to get todays freebie, Prince Ian, he is on TGF blog.

The Greeting Farm Relay day 2...

I was starting to think I was never going to get to create today...lol. It has been one thing after another today but finally I made it to my craft room! I used todays image from The Greeting Farm CHA relay to make a card and matching bookmark. I simply stamped "have a sassy birthday" on the inside. I am glad I got it squeezed in before the deadline so I can play with tomorrows image!!!
I used the sketch from Mojo Monday, Cupcake Crafts wanted a matching set, Pink Elephant wanted polka dots, bows & pink, Color Chef wanted light and dark pink, KL Stampin N Scrappin wanted punches dies or nesties, A Spoonful of Sugar anything goes this week and My Grafico wants a shape.

The Greeting Farm Relay....

Here is my entry to The Greeting Farms 5 day relay. You get this free digi to use by 6pm CST to night and then you can have the next days emailed to you. But you have to play each day or you don't get the next days. You have to upload in the galleria but I am having trouble with that right now. So I am posting it here for now. I kept it really simple by using the sketch at Clean & Simple. It is also for the fruity colors challenge at Charisma Cardz, the colors remind me of pears, melons and blueberries. Used some of my current fav papers by SEI. Colored Mer Ian with colored pencils and a glaze pen. Then chalked around the edge of him.

One World One Heart Is Here!!!

Today I am happy to say that I am participating in the 4th Annual One World One Heart blog event!! I found it last year and really wanted to participant but didn't get a chance so I couldn't pass it up this year! Of course there is a chance to win a fabulous prize on each stop along the way. Last year there was 911 stops along the way compared to about 90 the first year! How awesome is that??? I can't wait to see how many join in this year! Be sure to hop along on the Magic Carpet Ride or maybe even join in! Stop by One World One Heart to find out all the details and how this wonderful event came about.

I hope you will look around my blog to get to know a bit more about me. I can't wait to meet some new blogger friends from around the globe!

So I was trying to think of something fabulous to offer for my blog giveaway. I came to the conclusion what was better than some yummy goodies to play with. I will be adding something else handmade by me as well but it will be a surprise...because frankly right now it is a surprise to me too.

It includes 3 cards made by me, surprise gift made by me, 2 Tim Holtz distress inks, 3 Ranger stickles, more than 3 yards of ribbon and maybe a few other goodies...

This event will go from now until Feb. 15th so you have plenty of time to ride the magic carpet!

All you need to do is leave a comment on this post. Just make sure there is a way for me to contact you if you are the winner! You have until noon on Feb. 15th (USA Central Standard Time) to enter.

You will find a link of the other bloggers on the One World One Heart blogpost!

Were did the week go? Time seems to be flying by lately. This week Patrick had to turn in his first big school project! I was so excited I have been waiting for this...lol. He has done little ones like decorating a Christmas tree or dressing up Tom Turkey to hide him at Thanksgiving (all on just a sheet of construction paper). He had to do a time line of sorts with photos from each year since he was born with so fun facts. The idea was to see how much everyone has changed. So here he is with his completed project! He did a great job...mixed his middle and last names up when writing them but no biggie! I am so proud of him!

Now on to crafty things. Today at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle the new challenge is "spring." I did something a little different for me. I used some felt flowers and leaves, added various ribbon for the stems, and stickers. I really like these dragonfly stickers with their irodesent wings. Stop by the blog to see all the lovely work from the DT!

I am also using this one for the fruity colors challenge at Charisma Cardz.
supplies: Bazzill cs, Reminisce pp, Jolee dragonfly stickers, BoBunny quote sticker, American Crafts felt, various ribbons

There is also a new challenge up at Scrap and Stamp. We would like to see you use up your scraps with at least one stamp. Gotta make room for all those new goodies that are about to be hitting the shelves. I think everything I used I have had for over a year or more except for the unity stamp. The photos are from 3 years ago, just never got around to scrapping these. Be sure to stop by the blog to see the work from the DT they amaze me each and every week!

supplies: Basic Grey pp, Bazzill cs, The Paper Studio ribbon, Unity stamp, Crate Paper and Making Memories (alphas) rubons, Pink Paislee chipboard, Pebbles Inc paint, October Afternoon alpha stickers, bubble wrap (for painting)

Inspirational Card Sketches #50

Patrick came home from his long weekend yesterday. I am so glad he is home I hate when he is away. But he had a great visit with his dad (flew in from CO) and his Honey (grandma) and of course all the cousins. They had their Christmas together so now he has even more goodies to play with...lol. Of course 3 more Godzillas. Who knew there were so many different ones. I swear Patrick has like 20 already and there are still more!

Now on to the crafty goodness. It is time for a new sketch at ICS! I have to say that I love this one! I don't know what it is about it but from the time I saw it I couldn't wait to work with it!
Our sponsor is Heather of Fresh Brewed Designs so we got to play with some of her super cute images. I colored the images with chalk and popped the "boy" up. I used a glitter glaze pen to color her lips and the alphas. I love the extra shimmer it gives.
supplies: Bazzill cs, DCWV and Bo Bunny pp, Studio G stamp, Fresh Brewed Designs digi image, Pebbles Inc chalk, gel pens, flower, button

Be sure to stop by to see the rest of the design teams beautiful creations and to play along!

Ready for some new challenges???

So yesterday was the day for a new challenge at Scrap and Stamp and also at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle! I have been having problems posting on my blog this week and of course yesterday was no different...lol. Surprising the challenge this week at both sites is girly... Honestly I didn't plan it that way it just happened!
At Scrap and Stamp we would like to see a girly layout with at least one stamp. I used a photo of my nieces for 2001. This is still how I see my girls it is hard to believe they are preteens now! I misted everything, except the photo of course, with pink and copper glimmer mist. Oh how I wish you could see the shimmer!

supplies: Bazzill cs, Pink Paislee pp, American Crafts thickers, Offray ribbon, Tattered Angels glimmer chip and mist, Prima flower, Luxe journaling block, Heidi Swapp photo corner, Unity stamp, chalk ink, gems, leaves

At Stamp, Scrap & Doodle it is girly as well. This is another yummy Sweet Pea Stamp stamp! I am in love with these! I had planned to tie a bow but the fibers are so limp that a bow just didn't look right. I added lots of stickles to the image!
supplies: Basic Grey pp, Sweet Pea Stamps stamps, unknown cs, Pebbles Inc chalks, stickles, colored pencils, gems, fibers, distress ink

Please stop by both the SSS and SSDS blogs to see what the rest of the DT came up with and to join in on the fun! Links are in my sidebar!

Well I am off to try and finish cleaning up my scraproom before I have to go and pick up Patrick tomorrow. He went to MS for the long weekend to see his Honey (grandma).

Inspirational Card Sketches #49

Are you ready for another sketch from Dawn? Well I hope so. Head over to ICS to see the prize that is up for grabs this week and to see what the other design team members came up with!
My take is simple this week. I still don't feel the best so my mojo is still missing. All the papers are from my scrap box and the diecut I have had forever. I stamped the swirl behind and over the star so it looks like it is coming from both sides.
supplies: Bazzill cs, Autumn Leaves stamp, Fancy Pants diecut and paper(dark blue), Sweetwater pp (stripes), Dreamstreet pp (light blue), distress ink, popdots

Are you ready for a couple of new challenges today? Well I hope so!

This week at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle we have a Celebrations challenge. Any type will do...bday, anniversary, graduation etc. Our sponsor is Sweet Pea Stamps. Lynette was super generous and sent all of the DT some yummy stamps to play with!

supplies: SEI pp, Offray ribbon, Prima and unknown flowers, Sweet Pea Stamps image, The Robins Nest raindrops, metallic and regular colored pencils, chalks

And this week at Scrap and Stamp we want to see a family layout with at least one stamp. Our sponsor is Digital Delights.
Since I was still feeling so bad I couldn't get a layout made so I am sharing an older one of my sister, LeAnne.

I hope you will have a chance to play along with us on both sites. Be sure to stop by the blogs to get all the details and see what the rest of my fabulous design teams came up with. You can find links to both in my right side bar!
Now I am off to spend some time with my sweet hubby. Today is our anniversary!!!!

Inspirational Card Sketches #48

Boy does it feel good to be doing something besides a Christmas card. Don't get me wrong I love them but I was starting to get burned out...lol.

Today the new sketch went up at ICS. Yes, we know it is late but things got busy!
Here is the fabulous sketch by Dawn.

And I made a Valentine's card with it! I kept it true to the sketch just flipped it since my heart kinda pointed to the right. I used up some old stash with this one too, papers and stickers.
supplies: DCWV pp and cs, Offray ribbon, layered sticker from Walmart, sentiment sticker unknown, tulle, colorbox ink

I hope you will join us! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team came up with at the ICS blog.
Also a little announcement. I am sad to say that Jessica has decided to shut down the kits2remember store. She is having a big sale between now and Jan 10th. So be sure to stop by and grab some acrylic, metal etc if you need some. I will miss being a part of the k2r design team but things have to change. I wish Jessica all the best!

Saturday, January 2, 2010

The holidays are officially over! It is hard to believe that we are starting 2010! I hope you all had a fabulous holiday and here is wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!

Today is the first challenge of the new year at Scrap and Stamp and at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle.
We have some fun challenges this week so I hope you will be able to play along with us.

At Scrap and Stamp we want to see some handcutting and at least one stamp. Easy enough right?
I used some pictures of Patrick loosing his first tooth. It is hard to believe that my baby is old enough! Boo Hoo! He was so excited when he found the loose one that he couldn't stand it...lol. He was insistant that it had to come out right then and it had to be pulled with a string since that is how he saw it done on tv...lol. Thank goodness it was ready to come out I don't know how we had missed it in the days before. I had to get Nick to come home to help him pull it. That is one thing I just couldn't make myself do! A string didn't work either...lol
But back to the challenge...lol.

supplies: SEI and Paper Trunk (blue strips) pp, Bazzill cs, DCWV ribbon, October Afternoon (brown) and Arctic Frog rubon alphas, Grungeboard number, Making Memories paint, Inique Boutique stamp, Colorbox ink, tooth buttons

At Stamp, Scrap and Doodle this week we would like to see you use a photo on your card, altered or mini. We all love our stamps but sometimes a great photo can be just as wonderful!

I used glimmer mist to tint the ribbon. It adds a nice shine but doesn't over power! I didn't add a sentiment that way I can use it for what ever need comes up.

supplies: Corodinations and Paperbilities cs, Rouge De Garance pp, Offray ribbon, Tattered Angels glimmer mist, The Robins Nest raindrops

I hope you will have a chance to join us this week. Be sure to stop by the blogs to see what the rest of the design teams came up with and to check out the fabulous prizes that are up for grabs this week.
Now I am heading back to bed my headache is trying to turn into a migrane...ugh!
